Matt started his real estate career indirectly in 2001 in the field of residential construction. After graduating from East Carolina University with a degree in Construction Management, he set out for the next several years as superintendent and general manager for a national and then regional builder. Along the way, he grew to know other components related with real estate growth such as land acquisition and development, financing and logistics, and of course executing the mighty real estate transaction.

From there, Matt followed his entrepreneurship spirit and started a building company, Grandfather Homes, Inc. He realized how important the sales transaction was to the success of his company and decided to acquire a broker’s license to better assist his customers in the purchasing of land as well as the selling of his inventory homes. He is committed to bridging the gap between buyers and sellers and understands the necessity for open communication. Because all deals are different, he believes it is important to deliver innovation and originality to each transaction.

I work with an incredible team that makes purchasing and selling homes a seamless process. Be it renovations, new construction or financing, my goal is to make your house a home.

I moved into the heart of Plaza Midwood after fifteen years of New York City living. I quickly discovered Charlotte had all the things an originally small town boy transplanted to the big city had come to expect; incredible food, great yoga, running trails, unique homes and most importantly quality people. That was more than five years ago and I proudly shout the praises of our Queen City skyline to all of my big and small city friends and family.

I believe your home serves as a character in your life. I’ve witnessed how a small space can be transformed into a home and seen the impact that has on a person’s happiness. For many years I turned beige box apartments into incredible spaces filled with personality, color and life. My experience in purchasing and renovating unique homes gives me keen insight into finding that one house my client will want to call their own.

I’m passionate and diligent about helping my clients achieve their dreams. I tap into my New York City sales expertise negotiating multi-million dollar marketing programs to get my clients where they want to be in their real estate transaction.
